How to Delete Your Sharklio Account

Key takeaways

  • The Delete account button is at the bottom of the Account page, under Danger zone.
  • You confirm with a 6-digit code from your email and by typing DELETE in capital letters.
  • Deletion is permanent: a remaining balance or unpaid publisher earnings are lost, and records required by law are kept.

How do you delete your Sharklio account?

Open Account in the sidebar, scroll to the bottom to Danger zone, and click Delete account. Then enter the 6-digit code we email you, type DELETE, and click Permanently delete account. This cannot be undone.

Before you delete

  • Advertisers: your campaigns are deleted and any remaining balance is lost. Completions still waiting for your review are closed without being approved.
  • Publishers: your apps are deleted, and any earnings not paid out yet are lost.
  • One account, both dashboards: your advertiser and publisher dashboards belong to the same account, so both go.
  • Crypto top-ups: if a top-up is still being processed, you cannot delete yet. Wait until it arrives on your balance.

Only need a break? Advertisers can stop spending by clicking Pause on each campaign on the Campaigns page instead.

Step by step

  1. Click Account in the sidebar, under the Account heading. The Account settings page opens.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Under the Danger zone label you will find the Delete account card.
  3. Read the text on the card, then click the red Delete account button. We email a 6-digit code to your account address, and you will see “We sent a code to … Enter it below to delete your account.”
  4. Type the code into Code from the email.
  5. In Type DELETE to confirm, type DELETE in capital letters.
  6. Click Permanently delete account. A window asks “Delete your Sharklio account and all of its data permanently?” Click Permanently delete account again to finish, or Cancel to stop.

You are logged out and taken to the login page, which shows “Your Sharklio account was deleted.”

On a phone

Tap Account in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Scroll all the way down, past Quick links, to Danger zone, and follow the same steps.

What is deleted and what is kept

When you confirm, the deletion happens right away. Removed:

  • Your email address and sign-in details, including your password and any linked Google or Discord account.
  • Your campaigns or apps, notifications, sessions, and trusted devices.

Kept: records we must keep by law, such as receipts with their billing details, and records needed to prevent fraud. If your account has payment history, those records stay as a closed record without your email address or sign-in details. Top-ups, invoices, and settlements are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax. The full list of retention periods is in our Privacy Policy.

If something goes wrong

  • “This code has expired. Request a new code.” Codes expire after 15 minutes. After that the Delete account button comes back, so click it again for a new code.
  • “That code is not correct.” Check the latest email from us. After five wrong tries you need a new code.
  • “Type DELETE in capital letters to confirm.” Type the word exactly, without spaces.
  • “A crypto top-up of yours is still being processed.” Wait until it reaches your balance, then try again.
  • No email? Check your spam folder. You can request a new code after a minute.

Frequently asked questions

Can I undo a deletion?

No. Once you click Permanently delete account and confirm, the account and its data are gone and cannot be restored.

What happens to my remaining balance?

It is lost. Advertisers lose any balance left on the account, and publishers lose any earnings not paid out yet. See how your balance works and publisher earnings and reversals.

Why do I need an email code?

The code proves that the person deleting the account also controls its email address, so nobody can delete it with only access to an open browser.

Does Sharklio keep any of my data?

Only what the law or fraud prevention requires, such as receipts with billing details. Your email address and sign-in details are removed.

I only want to stop logging in on a shared computer. Should I delete?

No. Use Log out everywhere on the Account page instead. See Login verification, trusted devices and sessions.
