Key takeaways
- Turn on Login 2FA via email with the switch in the Sign-in and security card on the Account page.
- Trusted devices skip the email code for a year, and you can revoke one or all of them in the Trusted devices card.
- The Sessions card logs out this browser, or every device with Log out everywhere.
How do you turn on login verification and manage your devices?
Open Account in the sidebar. Turn on the Login 2FA via email switch in Sign-in & security, manage devices in the Trusted devices card, and log out with the Sessions card. This guide shows where to click. For why each setting matters, read Secure your Sharklio account.
Step by step: turn on Login 2FA via email
- Click Account in the sidebar, under the Account heading.
- In the Sign-in & security card, find the Login 2FA via email row. The switch says Off.
- Click the switch. It turns on and the label changes to On for every new login.
You will see “Login verification is on. Other devices were logged out, and this device is now trusted.” The Account security box at the top of the page also has a Turn on link that jumps to this switch.
Logging in with verification on
- Log in as usual with your email and password, Google, or Discord.
- On a device that is not trusted, the Confirm it is you page opens and we email you a 6-digit code.
- Enter it in Login code. Leave Trust this device for a year, so it does not ask for a code again ticked on your own device, and untick it on a shared one.
- Click Verify and log in.
The code expires in 15 minutes. No email? Check your spam folder, or click Send a new code after a minute. Back to log in cancels.
Turn login verification off
- Click the Login 2FA via email switch again. We email you a code.
- Type the code into the field that appears under the switch and click Turn off.
Turning it off also removes all your trusted devices.
Trusted devices: check and revoke
The Trusted devices card lists every device that skips the email code. Each entry shows the browser and system, such as Chrome on Windows, a partly hidden IP address, and the Added and Expires dates. The device you are using has a This device badge.
- One device: click Revoke next to it.
- All devices: click Revoke all at the top of the card, then confirm.
A revoked device asks for an email code at its next login. Devices are only added while login verification is on. If the card says No trusted devices, turn verification on first.
Sessions: log out one browser or everywhere
- This browser: click Log out to end the session on this device only. The Log out button at the bottom of the sidebar does the same.
- All devices: click Log out everywhere. A window asks “Log out of Sharklio on every device, including this one?” Click Log out everywhere again to confirm.
Log out everywhere does not remove trusted devices. If you think someone else has access, also click Revoke all and change your password.
Keep me logged in
On the login page, tick Keep me logged in for 30 days before you log in. It also works with the Google and Discord buttons. Without it, the browser logs you out when you close it. The Sessions card tells you which of the two applies to the browser you are using. Changing your password or turning on verification ends saved logins on your other devices.
On a phone
Tap Account in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Scroll past Sign-in & security to Trusted devices and Sessions. On a phone, the Log out button in Sessions is the way to log out, since the sidebar is hidden.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a trusted device stay trusted?
One year from when you trusted it. The exact date is shown as Expires in the Trusted devices card.
Do I need a code to turn login verification on?
No, one click on the switch turns it on. Turning it off needs an email code, so nobody can switch it off with only your password.
Why did my other devices get logged out?
Turning on verification, changing your password, and Log out everywhere all log out your other devices. Log in again there, with a code if verification is on.
Does it work with Google or Discord logins?
Yes. A new device still needs an email code. See Log in with Google or Discord, and link accounts.
I forgot my password and verification is on. What now?
Use Forgot password? on the login page. See How to change or set your password.
