Referral Program Terms

1. How the program works

Every publisher gets a personal referral link in the Referrals section of the publisher dashboard. When someone creates a new Sharklio account through your link and becomes a publisher, they become your referral. Each time your referral receives a payout from us, you receive an extra 5% of that payout, for as long as the program runs and both accounts stay in good standing. There is no limit to how many publishers you can invite.

2. Who can take part

• Referrers must be publishers with an active, verified Sharklio account in good standing, and must meet the eligibility rules of our Terms of Service.
• Referrals must be real, new users who create a Sharklio account for the first time through a referral link. Existing accounts, and additional accounts of people who already have one, cannot become referrals.

3. Your commission

• Your commission is 5% of every payout your referral receives from their publisher earnings.
• The rate is the same for every referral and does not change with volume.
• Commission is calculated on your referral's own publisher earnings only. Referral commission they earn from publishers they invited is not included, so the program has one level only.
• Your commission is an extra amount paid by Sharklio. It does not reduce the payout of your referral.

4. When your commission is paid

Your commission is added to your publisher balance after each payout that your referral successfully receives, and it is then paid to you together with your other earnings under your own settlement terms and minimum payout. Earnings that are rejected, reversed, or charged back before a payout earn no commission, so commission that has been added to your balance is not taken back because of your referral's later chargebacks, except in the cases described in section 8.

5. How referrals are recorded

• When someone opens your referral link, we store your code in their browser for 30 days.
• If they create a new account in that browser within those 30 days, by email or with Google or Discord, the account is recorded as your referral.
• If several referral links were opened, the one opened last counts.
• A referral is permanent once the account is created. It cannot be moved to another referrer, and a referrer cannot be added later.

6. Your referral link and code

Your link looks like sharklio.com/r/yourcode. You can change your code in the dashboard as often as you like, using 3 to 20 letters, numbers, or underscores. Links with your earlier codes keep pointing to you. We may remove or replace a code that imitates Sharklio, our staff, or another person or brand, or that is offensive.

7. What is not allowed

• Fake or self-referrals: referring yourself or accounts you control, creating or buying accounts, using another person's details without their consent, or asking others to sign up only so that you earn commission.
• Technical manipulation: bots, scripts, click farms, VPNs or proxies used to create artificial referrals, interfering with how referrals are recorded, or exploiting errors in the program.
• Misleading promotion: spam, unsolicited messages, false or exaggerated earning claims, misleading descriptions of Sharklio, or posing as Sharklio or its staff.
• Brand misuse: paid search ads on terms that contain "Sharklio", and domains or social accounts that could be mistaken for ours.
• Unsuitable places: promoting your link on sites or channels that break our Terms of Service or the rules of the platform you post on.

8. Fraud checks and enforcement

We check every referral automatically. A sign-up from the same device as the referrer is not counted as a referral. A sign-up from the same IP address as the referrer is reviewed by our team before it can earn commission. We also look for unusual sign-up patterns, accounts that are created and never used, and networks of linked accounts.

If we find a breach of these terms, depending on how serious it is, we may:

• send you a warning and monitor your referrals,
• hold your commission and pause your participation for up to 30 days while we review it,
• cancel the affected referrals and the commission they generated, including commission already added to your balance, and remove you from the program,
• suspend or close your account as described in section 15 of our Terms of Service.

9. What you can see about your referrals

For each of your referrals, the dashboard shows their username, the date they joined, their status, their earnings, and your commission. You may use this information only to follow your commission, and you must not share it or use it to contact or identify your referrals outside Sharklio. How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Taxes

Commission is income. You are responsible for reporting it and for any taxes that apply to it where you live.

11. Changes and ending the program

We may change these terms, change or pause the program, or end it. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a change that reduces your commission, and your 5% rate stays in place for referrals you made before such a change for as long as the program runs. If the program ends, commission on payouts made before the end date is still paid. We may also end your participation if you break these terms or no longer have an account in good standing.
