Is Sharklio Legit? How We Review, Protect and Pay

Key takeaways

  • Sharklio is run by Shark Earnings LLP, a registered company in British Columbia, Canada, which also runs the rewards site Shark Earnings.
  • Every campaign and every publisher app is reviewed by staff, advertisers pay only for approved results, and users can dispute a rejection that staff then decide.
  • Advertiser sign-up and campaigns are open today; publisher applications open soon, and payout methods will be announced before payouts open.

Is Sharklio legit?

Yes. Sharklio is a pay-per-result ad network and offerwall run by a registered company, Shark Earnings LLP, with its legal details, terms and privacy policy published on this site. Advertisers pay only for results they approve or that their own server reports, every campaign is checked by staff before it goes live, and users can dispute a rejection, which staff then decide.

That is our own answer, so this page sticks to things you can check: who we are, which rules apply, and what is open today and what is not. You will not find ratings, testimonials or growth numbers here. Where a rule is written in our Terms of Service, we say so, so you can read the source yourself.

Who runs Sharklio?

Sharklio is operated by Shark Earnings LLP, registration number LL0003387 in British Columbia, Canada, with its registered address at 5307 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC V5P 3V6, Canada. The same details appear at the bottom of every policy page under “Who you are contracting with”. The terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

The same legal entity runs Shark Earnings, a rewards site where users complete offers and get paid, and a single set of company records applies to both. Sharklio was founded by Krisztián Stark, who also founded Shark Earnings and is the named contact person for the company. Running a rewards site is the reason Sharklio was built the way it is: we have seen the offerwall from the user’s side, and we know what users expect from a fair task.

How campaigns are reviewed before they go live

No campaign reaches the offerwall without a staff review. The reviewer checks that the task is legitimate, that it is clear enough to complete and to check, that the starting link works, and that it is allowed under the campaign rules and the Terms of Service. Reviews usually finish within a few hours.

  • Approved campaigns start as Paused, so the advertiser can check everything once more and choose Resume when ready.
  • Campaigns that fail review are sent back as Changes needed, with a written reason from the reviewer. Why was my campaign rejected? covers the common reasons.
  • Editing the task of a live campaign sends it back to review, so a campaign cannot be approved with one set of instructions and then quietly changed.
  • Some products are never allowed, such as malware, phishing, adult content, weapons, drugs and tasks that ask users to send money. Gambling is accepted only from licensed operators and reviewed case by case. What campaigns are not allowed on Sharklio lists them all.

Staff can also pause a live campaign that breaks the rules after launch, for example because its landing page changed.

How advertisers pay only for approved results

Campaigns run on a prepaid balance. You need at least $1 to submit a campaign, and you set a bid per country, from $0.01. Nothing is charged for impressions or clicks. What is charged depends on the campaign type:

SituationCharged?
You approve a task completionYes, your bid for that country
You do not decide before your approval window endsYes, it is approved automatically
You reject a completion and the rejection standsNo
A completion is waiting for review or in a disputeNot yet. The cost is set aside until the outcome is final
Your server reports an offer step with a valid postbackYes, at the price you set for that step and country
Our team later reverses an approved completion for fraudThe cost returns to your balance

You choose the approval window per campaign, from 30 minutes to 3 days. Automatic approval exists so users are never left waiting for an advertiser who stopped checking, which is why it is worth picking a window you can really keep. Top-ups are final: the balance pays for campaigns only and cannot be withdrawn, so it makes sense to start with a small amount.

What happens when a completion is rejected

Advertisers may reject a completion only if it clearly fails the requirements the campaign stated when the user submitted, and every rejection needs a reason. The user sees that reason and has 72 hours to dispute it, with an explanation and an optional screenshot. The advertiser then has 72 hours to accept and pay or to keep the rejection. If the advertiser keeps it or does not answer, Sharklio staff review the whole thread and decide, and that decision is final.

The rule cuts both ways. Users cannot force a payment for work they did not do, and advertisers cannot reject valid work to save money: repeatedly rejecting valid completions can lead to the suspension of the advertiser’s account. How to handle completion disputes walks through each step.

How we protect against fraud

Our Terms describe the protection in layers, and we keep the details of our checks private so they are harder to work around:

  • Campaign review before anything goes live.
  • Advertiser review of every task completion, with an anonymous user ID that stays the same for the same user, the country, device, browser, the time the task took, and how many tasks that user sent on that publisher in the last 24 hours.
  • Limits on how often a user can complete a campaign, and rate limits across the service.
  • Automated checks and manual checks by our staff, which may consider activity history, completion patterns, security challenges, and information from advertisers.

The rules for end users forbid bots, multiple accounts, VPNs and proxies used to hide a location, and forged or edited screenshots. Where a check finds a material risk, we may reject or reverse completions, block a device or user from offers, hold or reverse publisher earnings, or close an account. Decisions that close a business account or withhold a publisher settlement are reviewed by a person.

How publishers and their apps are reviewed

Publisher applications open soon, and every one will be reviewed. Each website, game or app where a publisher wants to show the offerwall is registered as a separate app and reviewed on its own. We look for a real audience, honest terms and a privacy notice that covers the offerwall, and content around the wall that is not adult, illegal or infringing. Until an app is approved and Live, its offerwall link does not work. Placement rules forbid hidden iframes, pop-ups that open without a click, pop-unders and paywalls. Get your publisher account approved has the full checklist.

Publisher payout terms

  • Monthly settlement. Earnings confirmed in a calendar month are settled after that month ends, within the number of days shown on the Payments page, Net-30 by default.
  • $25 minimum payout. A smaller amount carries over to the next month until the total reaches $25.
  • Reversals come first. Results reversed for fraud or unmet requirements are deducted before a payout.
  • Discrepancies must be raised within 30 days of the period in question.
  • Payout methods will be announced before payouts open.

If we close a publisher account for a reason other than a breach of the terms, confirmed earnings remain payable. Publisher earnings, settlement, and reversals explains the full lifecycle of a result.

How your account is protected

You register with an email address and a password, confirmed by a verification code, or with a Google or Discord account. Passwords need at least 10 characters with mixed case, a number and a special character. You can turn on login verification by email, so every login from a new device needs a 6-digit code, and turning it off needs a code as well. Devices you trust stay trusted for a year, and you can revoke one or all of them at any time, or use Log out everywhere. Secure your Sharklio account takes about five minutes.

How to check for yourself

  1. Read the Terms of Service, especially the sections for advertisers, publishers and fraud prevention.
  2. Compare the company details at the bottom of the policy pages with the British Columbia registry.
  3. Ask [email protected] anything this page does not answer before you spend.
  4. Start with one small campaign, a few countries and a total budget cap, and judge us on what you see in your own dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Sharklio?

Sharklio is operated by Shark Earnings LLP, registered in British Columbia, Canada, under number LL0003387. The same company runs the rewards site Shark Earnings.

Is Sharklio a scam?

No. It is run by a registered company with published terms, every campaign is reviewed before it goes live, and advertisers pay only for results they approve or report. Check the terms and company details yourself, and start small if you are unsure.

Does Sharklio pay publishers?

Publisher payouts are not live yet, because publisher applications have not opened. The terms are set: monthly settlement, a $25 minimum, and carry-over of smaller amounts. Payout methods will be announced before payouts open.

Can an advertiser refuse to pay for work that was done?

Not fairly. A rejection needs a reason tied to the stated requirements, the user can dispute it, and staff decide if the advertiser keeps the rejection. Repeatedly rejecting valid work can get an advertiser’s account suspended.

Can I get my advertiser balance back?

No. Top-ups are final and the balance can only pay for campaigns, so top up what you plan to spend. If our team reverses an approved completion for fraud, its cost returns to your balance.
