Log In with Google or Discord, and Link Accounts

How do you log in with Google or Discord?

To log in, click Google or Discord at the top of the login page. To link, change, or unlink them, open Account in the sidebar and use the Google account and Discord account rows in the Sign-in & security card.

Log in with Google or Discord

1. Open the login page and click Google or Discord above the email form.
2. Want to stay logged in? Tick Keep me logged in for 30 days before you click. It works for these buttons too.
3. Choose your account on the Google or Discord screen and allow access.
4. You land on your Dashboard. If login verification is on and this device is not trusted, you enter an email code first.

If no Sharklio account uses that email yet, a new account is created for you. If one already does, Google or Discord is connected to it, and a notice appears under the bell icon. Discord only works with a verified email address on your Discord account.

Step by step: link Google or Discord

1. Click Account in the sidebar, under the Account heading.
2. In the Sign-in & security card, find the Google account or Discord account row. An unlinked account shows a gray Not linked badge.
3. Click Link Google account or Link Discord account.
4. Pick the account on the Google or Discord screen. You come back to the Account page with a message like “Google account … is now linked.”

The row now shows the linked Google email or Discord name with a green Linked badge. The linked account does not have to use the same email as your Sharklio account, and linking does not change your Sharklio email.

Change the linked account

Click Link a different account in the same row and pick the other Google or Discord account. It replaces the one that was linked before.

Unlink, and the one-login rule

1. Click Unlink in the Google account or Discord account row.
2. A window asks you to confirm, for example “Unlink this Google account? You can still log in with your other sign-in method.” Click Unlink, or Cancel to stop.

You must always keep at least one way to log in: a password, Google, or Discord. If the account you want to unlink is your only one, the Unlink button is gray, and hovering it shows “Set a password or link Discord first, so you can still log in after unlinking.” (or “link Google first”). On a phone

On the login page, the Google and Discord buttons sit at the top, the same as on a computer. To link or unlink, tap Account in the bar at the bottom of the screen and scroll to Sign-in & security.

If something goes wrong

• “This Google account is already linked to another Sharklio account.” Each Google or Discord account can be linked to one Sharklio account only. Unlink it there first, or pick another one.
• “This email is already connected to a different Google account.” Your Sharklio account is linked to another Google account. Use that one, or log in with your password and change the link.
• “Your Discord account needs a verified email address. Verify it in Discord, then try again.” Verify your email in Discord’s settings, then click the button again.
• “Google sign-in was cancelled.” You closed or declined the Google screen. Simply try again.

Every link and unlink also appears in your notifications, so you can spot a change you did not make. If you see one, follow the steps in Secure your Sharklio account.
