Key takeaways
- Open Balance in the sidebar, pick or type an amount of at least $10, and click Pay with crypto.
- Choose your coin on the payment page and send the exact amount shown, plus any wallet or exchange fee.
- The balance is credited automatically once the blockchain confirms the payment, and the receipt appears in the Top-ups list.
Where do you top up your balance?
Click Balance in the sidebar, under Account. In the Top up with crypto form, pick or type an amount of at least $10, click Pay with crypto, and pay on the payment page that opens in a new tab.
Top-ups are paid in crypto. Card and more payment methods are coming soon. To understand what the balance pays for and why part of it can be on hold, read How your advertiser balance works.
Step by step
- Log in and click Balance in the sidebar. You can also click the balance amount in the top bar.
- On the Balance page, the left card shows Available to spend, your Total balance, and how much is On hold.
- Under Top up with crypto, click one of the amount buttons: 10, 25, 50 or 100. For another amount, type it in the Amount field in US dollars, for example 75 or 75.50.
- Click Pay with crypto. The minimum is $10 and the maximum is $10,000 per top-up.
- A secure payment page opens in a new tab. Choose the coin you want to pay with there.
- Send the exact amount shown on the payment page. If your wallet or exchange takes a fee, add it on top so the full amount arrives.
- Go back to the Balance tab. Your payment is listed under Top-ups while it is processed. You can close the page; nothing else is needed from you.
Tip: top up a little more than one day of spend
The cost of completions waiting for your review is set aside from your balance. If what is left cannot cover the next completion, your campaigns pause. A small buffer above your daily spend cap keeps them running.
On your phone
On a phone or small tablet, the sidebar is hidden. Tap the balance amount with the wallet icon at the top of the screen to open the Balance page. You can also tap Account in the bottom bar and choose Balance under Quick links. The form works the same way, and the payment page opens in a new tab. If you pay from a wallet app on the same phone, come back to the browser afterwards to follow the status.
What happens next
Your top-up moves through these statuses in the Top-ups list:
- Waiting for payment: the payment page is open, but no payment has arrived. Click Continue payment to return to it.
- Confirming: your payment was detected and is waiting for blockchain confirmations. How long this takes depends on the coin and the network.
- Paid: the money was added to your balance. The row shows the amount added, the coin and the amount you sent, and a PDF receipt.
Crediting is automatic. While a payment is in progress, the Balance page refreshes the list and your balance by itself. You also get a Balance credited notification under the bell icon. If you come back from the payment page, a note at the top of the page tells you where the payment stands.
If campaigns were paused because your balance ran out, they do not restart on their own. Open each campaign and click Resume. How to pause, edit or resume a campaign shows where.
If something goes wrong
- Less arrived than the amount shown. A small shortfall may still be credited as the amount that actually arrived. If too little arrives, the top-up is not added yet, the row shows Partially paid with a Contact support link, and you get a Crypto payment incomplete notification. Email us and we will sort it out.
- More arrived than the amount shown. The amount that actually arrived is added to your balance, within the $10,000 top-up maximum.
- The payment was not completed. If the payment page expires or fails, no money was taken. Start a new top-up any time.
- You cancelled on the payment page. Nothing was charged.
- Too many payment attempts. After several attempts within one hour, the form asks you to wait an hour before you try again.
